FUE Hair Transplant Toronto
Restoring Your Hairline with FUE Hair Transplant Toronto with Natural, Thick Hair Safely and Painlessly.
FUE Hair Transplant Toronto Explained:
A minimally invasive hair transplantation procedure, known as follicular unit extraction, or simply FUE, involves harvesting hair follicles from a donor site, typically the backside of the patient’s scalp. By using robotic and automated devices, no linear scars are left behind. The procedure leaves almost no traces. The harvested follicles are then transplanted in areas with balding or thinning hair.
Hair loss can be a harrowing experience for some people that results in a loss of confidence. This is often the unwanted effect of aging, underlying health condition, and even genetics. Most people who experience hair loss would be willing to do anything possible just to bring back their “lost confidence.”
If you’re suffering from hair loss or balding, don’t despair! After all, there is hope. An innovative procedure, FUE hair restoration aims to reclaim and boost your confidence by bringing back your healthy, thick hair.
At HTCT, we have specialist machinery, Artas or NeoGraft that are used for extracting healthy hair follicle units from “ideal candidate” areas. These areas are typically found at the back of the patient’s scalp and are not expected to go bald for many years to come.
The “harvested” or extracted hair follicles are then implanted by experts into the target balding areas. An FUE hair transplant procedure is one of the most comfortable methods currently available. It doesn’t result in scarring. Best of all, it allows your hair to grow in a natural way.

FUE hair transplant cost
The total cost involved for an FUE hair transplantation depends on how many hair grafts are necessary to fill the target area. The price starts at $4,000+. It already includes post-operative procedures, high fluency, low-level light therapy, and even nutrient shampoo.
Currently, our clinic offers different promotions and discounts for your initial men’s FUE Hair Transplant Toronto transplant procedure. Financing is also available with no interest for up to 6 months.
FUE recovery timeline
Initial recovery from a minimally-invasive FUE Toronto hair transplant surgery takes only around 2 to 3 days. During this time, the extraction holes are covered using a soft dressing. This is because the holes are quite tiny, measuring only 0.9 to 1.2 mm made at the backside of the scalp.
The dressing is done carefully in such a way that it wraps around the head to help secure the bandage over the affected area, which is the backside of the scalp.
How much time does FUE hair transplantation surgery take to complete?
An FUE hair transplant typically takes around 4 to 10 hours to complete. This will depend on the number of grafts necessary for implantation. For large-scale implantation, say 3000 grafts, extraction of the hair follicles for FUE Toronto will take around 4 hours, and another 4 hours to insert the hair into the target area.
Who Is the ideal candidate for an FUE hair transplant?
FUE hair transplant is the perfect solution for men, and even women, who experience unnecessary, excessive hair loss due to an underlying health condition or genetic causes. If you are a candidate for the procedure, you must have realistic expectations about the results of the hair transplantation and restoration procedure.
FUE hair transplant benefits:
If you are considering the procedure, the following are some of the main benefits of undergoing FUE hair transplantation that may help you decide if it is right for you.
Enjoy a permanent solution to your hair loss problem
The extracted hair follicles from the back of your scalp, and implanted into the balding areas on your head are all carefully selected and healthy follicular units. They have a normal enzyme compliment. Thus, they are permanent in nature and are not expected to fall out any time soon.
Healing and recovery time is faster
With the FUE procedure, there is no obvious linear scar left at the back of your scalp that is associated with the dated strip graft techniques of the past. In general, an FUE surgery is minimally invasive, safe and painless. This means recovery and healing time is fast. You’re welcome to read our patient’s journeys and reviews by visiting our clinic’s listing.
Your appearance will significantly improve
With the FUE procedure, you can bring back your confidence and improve your overall appearance by restoring your youthful look. Who will not look younger with a full crop of hair, right?
The procedure requires minimal maintenance
The hair follicle implants would require very little maintenance. After all, they don’t only look like natural hair. They feel natural as well that you can treat them as you would your existing natural hair.
How FUE can help with
strip graft scars
~1 minute read
HTCT is among the best hair transplant clinics in Toronto, Canada. Here, we only perform non-linear, non-surgical, FUE hair transplant in Toronto procedures that aim to facilitate safe hair restoration.
There are some patients, however, who come to our clinic with the goal of improving the scarring at the backside of their head. This is usually the result of undergoing an outmoded strip graft hair transplant surgery. The old procedure left an obvious ugly scar at the back of the head. This was unavoidable because a 14 cm x 3 to 4 cm chunk of skin had to be removed from the scalp. The scalp hair was sliced to produce the necessary grafts.
The resulting cut was then stitched together. Thus, a nasty scar on top of the nape area was inevitably created. It is known as a “strip graft scar.”
Once healed, these scars appear as fine white lines. Usually, the scars will only become a concern for you if you prefer wearing your hair short. This can be addressed by covering the area with longer hair. But, some people are not satisfied with this quick and temporary fix so they opt-into a more complex solution.
In some unfortunate and worse case scenarios, the procedure leaves patients with obvious and wide strip graft scars. That is why our specialization is focused on FUE hair transplantation procedures. But, we also offer options to fix strip graft scar for people who may have undergone the old strip graft hair transplantation procedures.
A procedure to improve a strip graft scar is usually done once every 4 to 6 months. At least 4 sessions are necessary to pull the ends together and minimize the appearance of the scar. However, most of our patients are already satisfied after the first 4 sessions, and no longer need extra treatments.
If, after undergoing 4 to 6 treatments, however, you are not satisfied with the results, and you still want to further improve the scar appearance, we can insert FUE grafts into the scar itself. We will perform the finishing touches, so to speak, and finally, hide the strip graft scar, and make it non-visible. As a patient, you can expect a wide range of improvement in your scar. Depending on the scar’s characteristics, hair colour, local tissue, and your commitment, you can experience an improvement anywhere between 50 and 100%. The best-case scenario is you will see almost no traces of the scar at all.

Types of Follicular Unit Extraction techniques
At the time of your consultation, we will determine the type of FUE system that would be suitable for your specific needs and preferences. Having said that, the following are the different types of FUE hair transplants:
NeoGraft FUE
The Neograft procedure involves using an automated rotary punch that typically has a diameter of 0.9 mm. The device is used to remove the grafts in a fast, safe, and painless manner.
ARTAS® Robotic Hair Transplant
The Artas FUE procedure, on the other hand, involves using a robotic rotary punch, typically with a diameter of 1.0 mm. Like Neograft, Artas is likewise used for harvesting FUE grafts fast, safely, and painlessly.
Non-surgical alternatives
As an option for patients who may prefer alternatives to FUE hair transplant in Toronto, we can use topical minoxidil and nutrients, plasma-derived growth factors, combined with low level, high intensity light therapies. The non-FUE transplant treatment may also be offered after undergoing an FUE procedure to achieve the best possible results.
Our FUE Hair Transplant Toronto Process
The minimally-invasive FUE hair transplant Toronto surgery is divided into 2 main parts. Extraction of the hair follicles from the donor or preferred area ideally at the backside of the scalp, then implanting the harvested grafts into the target areas or the scalp with balding or thinning hair.
Just before the extraction takes place, the area where hair follicles will be harvested is shaved. In many cases, patients prefer shaving all the hair – even in areas that will not be affected by the procedure. Local anesthesia is also applied to numb the harvest area. Laughing gas may sometimes be applied so the patient would not feel any pain when the anesthesia is injected.
After the application of local anesthesia, either the NeoGraft automated or Artas robotic hair transplant system is utilized to painlessly harvest your FUE grafts. This is the second stage in the entire hair transplant procedure. It involves implanting the newly harvested FUE grafts into the recipient areas.
At this point, SpaMedica will use the technique known as the stick-and-place method that involves the use of a tiny hypodermic needle in creating small slits between hair strands or along the front hairline. This method will result in the most natural-looking and densest possible hair that the patient can achieve.

FUE hair transplant FAQ
How painful is FUE hair transplant surgery?
During the entire FUE Hair Transplant Toronto procedure, you shouldn’t feel any pain at all. After all, the surgery team will use local anesthesia to numb your scalp area. This means you will not feel anything throughout the surgery. You will also experience a more painless recovery compared to traditional and outdated hair transplant surgeries.
Is FUE hair transplant permanent?
Since the hair follicles are harvested from ideal donor sites at the back (and sometimes at the sides) of your scalp, you can expect permanent transplants that will not easily fall out in time. But, once the hair at the top of the head proceeds to thin (especially if you are genetically predisposed to thin hair), you may need additional hair transplant sessions.
What's a downtime after FUE hair transplant?
By nature, the treatment is minimally invasive. This means that in most cases, you can go back to your regular job (unless your work is physically strenuous) or resume your daily low-impact activities the day after your procedure.
